The Office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Yogijan Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Project, Hojai, Assam, has officially announced a recruitment drive for local female candidates. This recruitment aims to fill a total of 31 vacancies for the positions of Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Helper across various Anganwadi Centres within the Yogijan project area.
Interested and eligible local women residing in the survey areas of the respective Anganwadi Centres are invited to submit their application forms in offline mode within the designated timeline. Selection for these honorary positions will be conducted through an evaluation of academic credentials followed by an oral interview.
Eligibility & Selection Criteria
To ensure fair consideration, candidates must fulfill specific educational, age, and residential requirements set by the department:
- Anganwadi Worker Educational Qualification: Applicants must have passed the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC / 10+2) examination from a recognized Board/Council. If no candidate with HSSLC qualifications applies from a specific area, candidates who have passed HSLC/AHM may be considered.
- Anganwadi Helper Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed HSLC/AHM (Class 10). In the absence of HSLC-qualified candidates, applicants with a Class IX pass certificate (countersigned by the Inspector of Schools) may be evaluated.
- Age Criteria: Applicants must be between 18 to 44 years of age as on 1st January 2026.
- Residential Requirement: The applicant must be a local female resident living within the survey area of the specific Anganwadi Centre applied for. A valid residential certificate issued by the competent authority (Gaon Pradhan / Ward Member / GP President) is mandatory. For married female applicants, the husband's residence proof will generally be required.
- Selection Stages: Candidates will be shortlisted based on academic merit scores and performance in an Oral Interview.
Step-by-Step Application Process
Candidates need to follow an offline procedure to apply for these posts. Here is the step-by-step submission guide:
- Obtain the official prescribed application form from the Office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Yogijan ICDS Project, Hojai between 17th August 2026 and 31st August 2026.
- Fill out the application form carefully with all accurate personal details, educational qualifications, and local residence details.
- Attach self-attested supporting documents including mark sheets, educational certificates, residential proof, caste certificate (if applicable), medical fitness certificate, and two recent passport-size photographs.
- Place the filled application form and requisite enclosures inside a sealed envelope, clearly writing the name of the post and applicant on top.
- Submit the completed application packet directly into the designated submission box at the CDPO Office during working hours (11:00 AM to 3:00 PM) on or before 31st August 2026.
Important Instructions & Advice
Applicants are advised to double-check their documents and eligibility before submitting the envelope. Please note that individual interview call letters will not be sent to candidates via mail or post. Instead, the list of eligible candidates and interview schedules will be displayed publicly on the notice board of the CDPO Office, Yogijan ICDS Project.
Candidates must bring all original educational mark sheets, certificates, residential proofs, and identity documents for physical verification at the time of the oral interview. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview process.
