The Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Assam has announced the recruitment of 200 Veterinary Field Assistants (VFA) to enhance the veterinary services in the state. Eligibility & Selection Criteria
To be eligible for the Veterinary Field Assistant position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed HSSLC (Class 12) in the Science stream with Biology as one of the subjects from a recognized Board or Council.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 to 40 years of age as of 1st January 2026, with relaxations applicable for SC/ST, OBC/MOBC, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen categories.
The selection process will consist of an OMR-based written examination, which will assess candidates on various subjects relevant to the role.
